Making a Difference

The Erdman Automotive Group has been reaching out to our local community for almost thirty years. Our involvement with non-profit organizations is accomplished through true community effort and Christian based values.

A perfect example of this is the Shema Ministries. Founded in 2006, Shema, which comes from the Hebrew word translated “The Lord is our God, the Lord is one”, has been anonymously assisting people and organizations in our community since its inception. The brain child of this grass roots organization is Dr. Dave Campbell, a local podiatrist and faith filled leader. Dr. Campbell believed that if he could get some of his friends to commit to donating two hundred dollars a month, the group could reach people in need. He believed that these funds could make a difference in the lives of those in our community who were going through difficult times.

Over the years the Ministry has evolved into an entire community of people that help each other, using Shema as the platform to join together to help those in need. This organization reaches thousands of local Brevard County residents. It is important to mention that one hundred percent of all monies are put back into the community, through the community organizations that partner with Shema to make a difference. Some of the organizations benefiting from the Ministry are:

– Fellowship of Christian Athletes
– Real Church / My Community Cares
– Emma Jewel Academy
– Tied Together
– Daily Bread
– Walk on Water

In addition to assisting these organizations, the Shema Ministry gave out 355 food baskets to Brevard County families during the holiday season.

One of the major fund raisers each year is the Erdman Automotive Golf Invitational, which will be held April 20, 2018 at the Suntree Country Club. This event is a coming together of local businesses and volunteers for the good of the community.

Erdman Automotive Group is proud to partner with Shema Ministries.
